Think what it would mean on your world if somewhere…there were a world center of civilization, a great planetary university of culture, which had functioned uninterruptedly for 37,000 years. And again, pause to consider how the moral authority of even such an ancient center would be reinforced were there situated not far distant, still another and older headquarters of celestial ministry whose traditions would exert a cumulative force of 500,000 years of integrated evolutionary influence. (The URANTIA Book, p. 587:01)

We would have a different world today, wouldn’t we? If Caligastia had not participated in the Lucifer Rebellion 200,000 years ago, we would have that celestial headquarters, that planetary sacred headquarters. If Adam and Eve had not defaulted in their mission about 37,000 years ago, we would still have that world center of civilization, that great planetary university culture, and we would probably be moving close to the first stage of light and life or be in those high planetary mortal epochs that are of mansion world status. Obviously, we are not there now. Last week we talked about how barbaric our cultures are here on this planet. Even the high-tech society, compared to divine pattern and from the celestial spirit’s perspective, is very barbaric. But now it is our responsibility in Divine Administration to bring forth that world center of civilization, that planetary university of culture, and a headquarters of celestial spirit ministry that will establish new traditions based on cosmic revelation.

Signs in the Heavens

There has been a lot of publicity about the Hale-Bopp comet; it is bluish in color, as many comets are. A Hopi prophecy has been highly publicized which basically states that in the end times, when it is time to make a shift into the new world, a blue star will appear in the heavens signaling the coming of the fifth world as the Hopis call it, because they believe we are presently in the fourth world. This fifth world is a much higher world; it is a new and fresh world. The fifth world of the Hopis is really the Fifth Epochal Revelation and Continuing that Urantian and cosmic reservists are destined to bring through on this planet; we apostles of the Divine New Order, we change agents, need to bring it forth.

Before the Hale-Bopp comet had been discovered by Hale and Bopp, Gordon Michael Scallion prophesied that the Blue Star would be coming. He said that this blue star would not be a normal comet, that “this celestial object is pure spiritual energy, a star made manifest by spiritual forces, a star composed of light beings.” And then he goes on to state that these light beings are coming here to help bring about the great change on this planet, to bring in the new millennium of light. And, of course, if any of you are pursuing the Hale-Bopp stories on the Internet, a lot of people are going nuts reading all kinds of conjectures and that type of thing. We know that there aren’t any coincidences and that there is a reason for this, and maybe it is just a wonderful comet that is going to come our way which has a few unusual manifestations, unusual to our astronomers because no other comet they have studied has behaved quite the way Hale-Bopp is behaving, so they have all these conjectures. But we don’t need to have signs in the heavens to know the bright destiny of Urantia. We know, just from our own personal experiences in our own movements and changes that are happening within us, that “movement” on many levels is happening on this planet. We have had that strong spiritual pull that literally drew most of us here, and that same spiritual pull is causing “movement” in hundreds of thousands of people all over the world. As a result, much change will happen in all areas of society as inner progress happens within individuals.

Jesus constantly reminded his apostles not to remain in the old patterns of perception in order to walk into this new revelation that he was bringing. They had to become brand new in their ways of thinking and responding. And, by the way, when the Fourth Epochal Revelation, Jesus, came to this planet and was born, there was a large new star in the sky. The URANTIA Book has a few things to say about that. Of course, people have built up a lot of speculation around it, but it’s interesting that with the Fourth Epochal Revelation there was a star. The Bible speaks of these end times and that there will be many different signs in the skies, and over the history of humankind on this planet people have always attached great significance to unusual happenings in the sky. We know that a lot of that is based upon superstition, and there is often a scientific explanation, but the timing is so interesting. We also know that as the understanding of astrology is extremely limited on this planet, and ninety-nine percent of it is based on superstition. We also know that there is a higher astrology and when you tap into revelation and become a cosmic scientist, you begin to move into that expanded concept. There is no one walking around on this planet right now that is that type of astrologer. So, at times these signs in the skies do have significance on symbolic as well as scientific levels.

Christianity: Whither Goest Thou?

Jesus’ apostles were often shocked by what He said. In this shock, they had many inner conflicts as they struggled with this new information that challenged their traditional ways of looking at things. And again I’m sure that all of us apostles of the Divine New Order have struggled with those things too. Jesus even had to periodically give His apostles and disciples some time to rest and recuperate after He had given a certain sermon, especially after His second morontia appearance to them. After the sermon, He could tell that they were blown away, so He said to them, “You may tarry here and in Galilee for a short season while you recover from the shock of the transition from the false security of the authority of traditionalism to the new order of the authority of facts, truth, and faith in the supreme realities of living experience.” We here at our planetary sacred home are often left reeling after a community transmission or for some of you, a personal transmission, and you need time to recover. That “slow-down” time is a time of transition and a time to get it together. There has to be a shift inside before we can deal with a higher reality. There will be a “lull” until you can get through the transition and get it together and truly become new creatures in Christ in this revelation that we are to help bring to the world.

I highly recommend that you read from Paper 95, “After Pentecost” of The URANTIA Book, Section 10, “The Future,” on pages 2084-2086. In that section we are told that “Modern culture must become spiritually baptized with a new revelation of Jesus’ life and illuminated with a new understanding of his gospel of eternal salvation.” We are told also on page 1859 of Paper 170, “The Kingdom of Heaven,” that Jesus’ concept of the kingdom of heaven is “…in itself a new standard of moral values, a new ethical yardstick wherewith to measure human conduct. It portrayed the ideal of a resultant new order of human society.” Today we could apply that to the Fifth Epochal, and Continuing Fifth Epochal Revelation.

We are told in that section on “The Future” on page 2084:05-07 that:

Christianity even now willingly goes the first mile, but mankind languishes and stumbles along in moral darkness because there are so few genuine second-milers—so few professed followers of Jesus who really live and love as he taught his disciples to live and love and serve.
The call to the adventure of building a new and transformed human society by means of the spiritual rebirth of Jesus’ brotherhood of the kingdom should thrill all who believe in him as men have not been stirred since the days when they walked about on earth as his companions in the flesh.
No social system or political regime which denies the reality of God can contribute in any constructive and lasting manner to the advancement of human civilization. But Christianity, as it is subdivided and secularized today, presents the greatest single obstacle to its further advancement….

You who have made the attempts to reach certain key Christians have been frustrated, because basically there is no response. Usually it is just plain ignoring our existence because most of the people in the Christian movement are only first-milers. They are not those second-milers. Remember when Gabriel made the statement that after our experience with our outreach to different Christian people—especially leaders who we thought might be open and receptive to at least looking at The URANTIA Book, if nothing else—how frustrating that was, when we came to the realization that we were not going to be able to reach the key people in those movements because they were entrenched in those secularized movements, and that it will be the Christians who will come against this ministry in the strongest way because it will shake their foundations. We know though, that running just the first mile of the race is not enough. Some people will run and then they drop out of the race because they can’t do the second mile. They want to stay in moderation. They don’t want to become the extremists that God is asking them to become. That’s not enough, just to run the first mile. We have people who come here enthusiastic, and they jump into the race, and boy, they are going and all of a sudden, boom! what happened to them; where did they go? They can’t run that second mile because they choose not to. That is where the Christian movement is. The Christian movement is gung ho for Jesus, and that is about as far as it has gone because they compromised. When it became moderate and sat on the fence, Christianity compromised with the materialistic societies of this planet and became secularized. That is why Jesus, who was the Fourth Epochal Revelation to the planet, has not been able to manifest the way the celestial spirits wanted. There has been much good that has come out of Christianity too, but now it is time to move on, and the First Planetary Sacred Home is not in Rome. The Pope is not working in the Divine Administration, and the famous televangelists are not working in the Divine Administration either. Every person in every movement, but especially the Christian movement, is being called to get off that fence of moderation and become those extremists for Christ Michael, to become the second- milers. That is what we have to do, and it is not always easy.

In that section of The URANTIA Book called “The Future,” we are told on page 2085:05

But there is no excuse for the involvement of the church in commerce and politics. Such unholy alliances are a flagrant betrayal of the Master.

That is pretty strong language to be using against people who claim to love Jesus, isn’t it, telling them they have made some unholy alliances, and in their error they have betrayed the Master that they love so much? It goes on to say that

And the genuine lovers of truth will be slow to forget that this powerful institutionalized church has often dared to smother new-born faith and persecute truth-bearers who chance to appear in unorthodox raiment.

We can think of Francis of Assisi and the struggles that went on with Francis and how he worked so hard to be approved by Rome. We can think of John Wycliffe and Martin Luther, and there are many other examples. People who tried to bring in a new aspect to Christianity were unorthodox, and the “Church” persecuted them. Now you see it today right here locally. Why is it that there are certain local Christian ministers who react negatively to Gabriel and our ministry here when they really have never met us at all? There are people who spend a lot of energy trying to diminish this ministry when they really don’t know too much about it. If they really felt like we and this ministry did not have much power, they wouldn’t even worry about it all. They wouldn’t even talk about it, but they put tremendous energy into it. Some of us definitely are unorthodox, especially in our message. And the message that we have is going to shake those complacent people whether they are of the Church or whether they are just of the materialistic society, because those folks are in a partnership. They are comfortable with each other. They are acceptable, and we are rattling their cages. Again, The URANTIA Book says on page 2085:02:

If the Christian church would only dare to espouse the Master’s program, thousands of apparently indifferent youth would rush forward to enlist in such a spiritual undertaking, and they would not hesitate to go all the way through with this great adventure.

This information that I just read came out in 1935, so there was still a little hope for the Christian church then, and there were some little revivals and renewal movements that happened within the Church. One of the ones that we have talked about is the one that began in 1966, the Charismatic Renewal movement. Basically, that movement was a renewal in the heart of individuals, not only within the Catholic Church where it started, but it spread to the Protestant denominations too. It was a movement away from just empty rituals and memorized prayers into a movement of a connection with the Universal Father of All through Jesus, who we know as Christ Michael of Nebadon. That renewal then was a close personal relationship with the Father. But what happened is that they stayed within the Church and they didn’t change the Church. The Church hasn’t changed because the Pope didn’t go through that renewal. Most of the major bishops in the Catholic Church, as well as the Protestant churches, didn’t go through that renewal. They are still stuck, just like most of the Pharisees and the Sadducees were in Jesus’ time. It impacted certain individuals within the church, but it hasn’t changed the larger Christian movement at all. And it didn’t change the Urantia movement either. They are also still caught in those empty, sterile traditions. They didn’t dare to espouse the Master’s program. And so thousands of youths have dropped out of the Church, and you don’t have many youth clamoring to read The URANTIA Book either. Many who do are not attracted to the intellectualized Urantia movement.

The Future Is Up To Us

So, now it is up to us. We are the ones who are daring to espouse the Master’s program. And how we are going to reach all those youths is through CosmoPop music that can create a spiritual pull in individuals. It is “Vocal music of the future for the minds of the future.” We realize how important the music ministry is, because that is the first hand stretched out to the world. And as we have said before, and as Time magazine reported just about three weeks ago, there is a lull in the Pop music world; there is nothing happening out there. So a lot of the young people are going back to the music of the 60’s and 70’s because it is better and has messages of change. There is nothing really new coming out, and they are floundering around waiting. Guess who they are waiting for? The Christian music that is growing hasn’t grabbed on to those supposedly indifferent youths. They are not flocking to it because Christianity is too much a part of the establishment that is destroying them. They don’t want anything to do with it. So we are the ones who are going to bring this about.

The URANTIA Book also says that:

The great hope of Urantia lies in the possibility of a new revelation of Jesus with a new and enlarged presentation of his saving message which would spiritually unite in loving service the numerous families of his present-day professed followers. (ibid., 2086:01)

Now a lot of people think that is the families of the different churches, but since it is the people entrenched in the churches who are not doing it, what families? Why is this revelation called “The Cosmic Family?” The Continuing Fifth Epochal Revelation is not called The URANTIA Book, Part II; it is called The Cosmic Family, volumes I, II, III, IV, etc. We are going to keep going. Why? Because the ministry here is “to spiritually unite in loving service, the numerous families of his present-day professed followers,” Urantian and starseed alike. It is the regathering of all those families, and some of us in those families have been together for thousands of years on other worlds and other universes, not just on this world. Now it is coming together in a spiritual unity.

Christianity suffers under a great handicap because it has become identified in the minds of all the world as a part of the social system, the industrial life, and the moral standards of Western civilization, and thus has Christianity unwittingly seemed to sponsor a society which staggers under the guilt of tolerating science without idealism, politics without principles, wealth without work, pleasure without restraint, knowledge without character, power without conscience [that is the diopower in it] and industry without morality.The hope of modern Christianity is that it should cease to sponsor the social systems and industrial policies of Western civilization while it humbly bows itself before the cross it so valiantly extols, there to learn anew from Jesus of Nazareth the greatest truths that mortal man can ever hear—the living gospel of the Fatherhood of God and the brotherhood of man. (ibid., 2086:06-07)

Learning anew. Unfortunately, that hope for modern Christianity is only going to be found in those people who grasp anew the revelation that is coming forth in The URANTIA Book and The Cosmic Family volumes. The Christian movement and the Urantia movement are not rising to that occasion. We would love to connect and link with hundreds of thousands of other groups all across the planet, but we have to have a spiritual unity, and we have to unite in bringing forth the revelation. We cannot unite in continuing to perpetuate the sick societies that are on this planet and the sick religions that are part of the sick societies on this planet. That is why all these other organizations that want change aren’t willing to take in that revelation. They realize there needs to be a change, but they aren’t willing to cease supporting those societies, and that is the problem. We have reached out and asked them. We cannot compromise; we have to be extremists. That is what we are being asked. And those organizations and groups of people, no matter how wonderful they are, no matter how wonderful their ideals are, they need to make the necessary changes. They haven’t for decades; hopefully they will now. No matter how good they sound, if they don’t tap into this revelation and if they don’t withdraw completely from all aspects of the sick culture, they are not doing it. They are only in the first mile. They are not willing to do the second mile. The second mile is being involved in Divine Administration in some way.

There isn’t any time to wait around anymore, and we are all aware of that, and so are so many of the people of the planet. Many Americans have a false security in this country, “Oh, we have economic stability.” What in the world does that mean? It goes on and on, and yet they are shaking inside. Why? It is because the deep part of them, the God part of them, the real part of them knows that it is not fine, that there is going to be a shift and change, and they are being pushed. You can’t just run the first mile; you have to go the second mile.

I want to close my part of this teaching with something that one of you wrote a few weeks ago for a homework assignment. When we were talking about movement, and how important it was that an inner movement happen within you individually, and then it becomes an inner movement that happens within us as a family united here in order to implement the global movement. I had asked you to evaluate the previous two weeks to discern if something had happened in you. For almost all of you, there were some things that had happened. You had gone through tremendous turmoil and conflict to push you into another step higher, another shift, and we are going to be doing that quite often. We are going to get pushed. We are going to have lots of little movements—lots.

What Ah’Nuit wrote is so appropriate because I think he speaks for the community as a whole in his own personal realization, in his movement that happened.

When Gabriel said, “I am Van” (see The URANTIA Book, Paper 67) this statement changed everything in the community. We already knew that he was Van, but it needed to be confirmed. For those of us who have been studying The URANTIA Book for a few years, this statement had a tremendous impact on our relationship with Gabriel. Gabriel’s being a world spiritual leader on another planet in another universe had tremendous impact. Now, when Gabriel reveals himself as Van, this statement shows the repersonalization plan in a light that was unrevealed until now. This repersonalization plan (rehabilitation plan) was developed and in place it seems before rebellion ever began in the system of Satania. It’s almost eerie to think about, but our Creator Son, Christ Michael, seems to have known what was brewing in Lucifer’s mind, long before any hint of rebellion began to appear in manifestation. Van, who was rebellion tested, and Nod, who had been rehabilitated twice before, were both on the staff of the Caligastia one hundred. The profundity which these statements seem to imply was that rebellion happens more frequently than what The URANTIA Book indicates.The utilization of the repersonalization plan, the use of rebellion-tested ovan souls to rehabilitate a rebellion-torn planet, by keeping the truth alive in succeeding generations, is beyond the imagination. Urantia had many opportunities to repent and accept the light. Adam and Eve’s mission could have been successful. Christ Michael could have been accepted when He was here. Christ Michael knew though that the odds were against that happening. The truth became so buried in Luciferic thinking that to bring it into the light only brought greater resistance to the highest truth. Keeping the truth alive was what these repersonalizations have been succeeding in doing. Awesome is my word for being allowed to be here at Planetary Sacred Home, grow up fast, and get on with my destiny. The depth of the revelation of Gabriel being Van, and of the needed repentance of all ovan souls rocks my soul to the depths. I have yet to assimilate much of what has been revealed. I recognize that if we ovan souls are able to rehabilitate through repentance that this act will possibly bring many others in rebellion back to Christ Michael’s fold. The change point for me is happening right now.

These changes have affected me in that I have changed my perspective completely about how I need to rearrange my thinking. I need to accept at a greater depth level what we are capable of doing here at our planetary sacred home. I realize that this sounds rather shallow, but when Gabriel became Van, this changed everything inside of me. I know now that we, with Gabriel, can do what is necessary here to bring about a human change point. Before, it was all on faith; now the reality of what can be accomplished is a fact.

The Divine New Order Movement: Something New

We had a lot of wonderful names for a spiritual movement. I’m not sure what the name is going to be, but I think it is probably going to be The Divine New Order movement. We do have a book out on the market by somebody by the name of Gabriel of Urantia, you know, and it’s called The Divine New Order. But anyway, looking at the words, The Divine New Order movement, this movement has to be divine. If God is not in it, forget it. And it has to be divine in the highest way, because there have been other God movements in the history of this planet and even in this century, but they haven’t really changed the world yet, so it has to be the highest God-authored movement that there ever was. It has to be God authored, God centered, and God directed. His will has to be involved in all aspects of this new order.

This has to begin with the renewing of your mind. America was once known as the New World, and it consisted of pilgrims and pioneers—adventurers who had many dreams. They came to this new world as pilgrims, many spiritual pilgrims thinking, wanting, desiring, and hoping to create a New Jerusalem, a New World. And, trying to create that Paradise on earth, some looked for the fountain of youth, like Ponce de Leon. Instead, they got the Miami Dolphins, and that has made enough money for lots of people to stay young by getting surgery and so on, but that is another story. You might say that the founding fathers and mothers wrote a new government charter and they called that new government charter “The Declaration of Independence.” Independence from what? The old order. Look at the dollar bill; what does it say on the dollar bill? It says, “In God We Trust” and “Towards a New Order.” That Paradise, the new world, the new Jerusalem, as small as it began here in this country, when the old order began to infiltrate their new world, the American Dream slowly became the great nightmare, but many people do not realize they are living in a nonreality, and that is one of the major problems.

I would like to read you some definitions of the word “new,” quite an eye-opener.

new 1 : having existed or having been made but a short time : RECENT, MODERN 2 a (1) : having been seen, used, or known but a short time : RECENT, : NOVEL (rice was a ~ crop for the area) (2) : UNFAMILIAR (visit ~ places) b : being other than the former or old (a steady flow of ~ money) 3 : having been in a relationship or condition for a short time (~ to the job) 4 a : beginning as a resumption or repetition of a previous act or thing (a ~ day) (the ~ edition) b : made or become fresh (awoke a ~ person) 5 : different from one of the same category that has existed previously (~ realism) 6 : of dissimilar origin and usu. of a superior quality (introducing ~ blood) 7 cap : MODERN 3: esp. : having been in use after medieval times —new. ish
syn NEW, NOVEL, ORIGINAL, FRESH mean having recently come into existence or use: NEW may apply to that which is freshly made and unused (new brick) or has not been known before (new designs) or not experienced before (starts a new job). NOVEL applies to not only what is new but strange or unprecedented (a novel approach to the problem). ORIGINAL applies to what is the first of its kind to exist (a man without one original idea). FRESH applies to what has not lost its qualities of newness such as liveliness, energy, brightness (fresh towels) (a fresh start).

So we have the New Age; in the 1930s and 1940s there was the New Deal, Franklin Delano Roosevelt’s New Deal. We have news; at least we are supposed to. Unfortunately, the news that we hear every day is not so new; it’s the same old bad things. It would be nice to have a news program that just has all brand new news instead of, “Well there was a serial murderer who killed fourteen children in Ireland.” That’s the news we hear every day. The newspapers rarely bring us something new, just the same old greed and garbage. We definitely can’t hear about many New Jerusalem ideas out there in the third dimension or on television, very little if any at all. One of the reasons why I got a satellite dish was that I wanted to hear the news from around the world. Well, guess what I found out? It’s the same. It’s the same everywhere: in Germany, Japan, China—the Great American Dream has touched every country and it’s all the same; it’s all CNN, it’s all the cute little commentator clones, male or female, all over the world. They just tell you what the “boss” wants them to say, nothing more, nothing less. It is all owned and operated by Caligastia, but they don’t know it; they just know some boss is saying, “These are your guidelines; this is what you say, if you say anything else, you’re fired.”

So there is very little real new thought. I was surprised to find out when the first new thought movement actually came, at least according to what is in the dictionary, “a movement originating in the 19th century that stresses the power of thought to control physical and mental events.” So it is nothing new. In the New Age, you pick up a magazine and there are variations of the new thought; it is not a New Thought magazine, although there is a New Thought Journal, but it is nothing new at all. As a matter of fact, when you read those magazines it’s just the old rebellion with new words, the old lies dressed up and called new thought.

We have the Old Testament and then we have the New Testament. There are ones who don’t want to accept the ideas in the New Testament; they just want to accept the Old Testament. The New Testament came about approximately a little less than two thousand years ago, but we still have millions of people on the planet in a religion that doesn’t want to look at that testament; they only want to look at the Old Testament. They don’t even believe that The Bible, old and new, sixty-six books, is even true, so they just want to look at the Old Testament. Talk about orthodox thinking, talk about fundamentalism; you can’t get any worse than that. I don’t know how many millions are involved in just wanting to study or read the Old Testament but hey, there is a New Testament, and beyond the New Testament there is the Fifth Epochal Revelation, The URANTIA Book and The Cosmic Family volumes. How many millions don’t want to come into the Fifth Epochal Revelation, the new revelation? Millions upon millions upon millions of Christians will not. Many of them, probably a majority of them, may have never even heard of The URANTIA Book or The Cosmic Family volumes. And if they do, and if light is shed on them, it is a negative light by Christian pastors who themselves don’t want to come into a new revelation.

One of the problems I had as a minister who studied the Bible for many, many years and thought I was pretty well versed in it, is that when I went to Urantia study groups with The URANTIA Book, I was a novice. I didn’t know much, and I had to listen to people who weren’t my elder in many ways but who knew concepts that I didn’t know. That was humbling because I was in my thirties and at one point they called me “reverend” and I was supposed to know all about God, but here were these new concepts that I didn’t even know about—Creator Son, finaliter, Solitary Messenger, Lanonandek Son, Planetary Prince—what’s that? But at least the Spirit of Truth was in me enough so that I was willing to investigate, to study, to show myself approved unto God, not just the New or the Old Testaments, but this new revelation. If it was wrong, I was going to prove it wrong, but if it was right, I’d have to follow it. And guess what? Here I am!

We are trying to create the new Holy City, the New Jerusalem. We are trying to do our little part on this end until Jesus Christ Michael comes and meets us, because He said it was coming. In this new city that we are trying to create here, we have to be the examples of this new world. This city has to become the city of the new world. We are the capital city of the new world. We are the New Jerusalem. We are the First Planetary Sacred Home, capital city of the new world. We have to be new citizens, and because we are new citizens we have to have a new look; everything has to be new. I like what Time magazine said about me here; I like the author who referred to me in the article about Jesus. The author said, “Once you have rejected the Gabriel of Urantia approach in starting a sect, inventing wholesome and arcane new theology, originality is hard to come by.” I’m glad they know that I’m original. But so was our Master Jesus; He was so new that many didn’t know what to do with Him. He came up with all kinds of new stuff. He went against the old ways. Because He went against the old ways, many fought him tooth and nail.

We have to design new clothing, new art, new music, but most of all a new mind-set. Now we have to learn to relate to God in a higher way. Jesus can’t be just Jesus anymore; He has to be Christ Michael. We have to begin to call Him “Michael.” He does care. When a son or daughter grows up and the parents continue relating to them as a twelve year-old for the rest of their lives, the grown children can’t communicate with their parents in a more mature way. Wouldn’t that get sickening? It’s good when parents can communicate with children on another higher level, having more intelligent conversations. The reason why many teenagers today want to run the other way is their parents are still back there in the old thinking, the old ways. No wonder some parents can’t have any conversations with their teenagers. No wonder that some teenagers don’t want to stay at home. No wonder they are going nuts. No wonder they are on drugs and alcohol. There is no new communication with their parents, and that is a major problem. We are coming up with new words, not just Continuing Fifth Epochal Revelation terms, but hip words. So much has to be new. A new world is what we need, with a new mind-set and new ways to relate to God.

What It Means to Be Successful, Money and Private Property

There are three aspects of our present nonreality that we have to learn to relate to in a higher way. One of the three aspects is what it is to be successful. The second is private property, and the third one is money. The URANTIA Book has a wonderful teaching on the relationship between you and money on pages 1462 to 1465.

God’s definition of being successful is quite different from the definition that you may have learned from your parents, from your schooling, or from television. You can be very successful being a laborer or a gardener doing what might be considered the very simple things in life. Jesus was a carpenter and a spiritual teacher. Some couldn’t see Him as a spiritual teacher because they couldn’t get by the fact that He was just a carpenter. They couldn’t get by that fact. That is a problem when you can’t see the spirituality in someone because you are looking for the wealth they have or the position they have. If you can’t just look at the appropriate person in the eyes and say, “Yes, this person is my elder;” if you don’t have that ability now, that is because you have been taught and have learned things that are not real. So, no wonder you can’t find your true teachers, your true elders. No wonder you think you are your own elder.

How do we relate to private property? I like the Native American approach that the whole earth is God’s, so how is it that the white man puts fences up everywhere and says, “This is my little space?” You fly above America and you see all these little fences everywhere. The United States is divided in square blocks and sections wherever you look. How ugly it is when you fly over white America, or white Western civilization for that matter, or anywhere. Forgive me if I use the word white here, but it fits, because it is the white race that has pretty much suppressed, oppressed, and depressed the other races with the greed of those in power. So instead of the word “ownership” of private property, I like the term caretakers. I like that word “caretakers” because we are caretakers of God’s property, of God’s land, of God’s earth. On an ideal world, we would be moving around a lot faster, but not uncomfortably so. We would be able to go to different sectors of the planet and live for months at a time. If you don’t like the winter, if it doesn’t really work out well for you, and you are on a planet where there is winter, then you can just arrange to go to somebody else’s house somewhere in the summer and work for God there where you would be in better health. Here on this planet, you can’t do that unless you have money. That is why people strive to get money. That is why those with a lot of money want to control everybody so that they can continue to travel and own many houses in different places and live an unsustainable lifestyle. The rest of the people of the world suffer the consequences of those who remain in the “rich mind-set.” We don’t have to own anything; all we have to do is be good stewards of it. In Divine Administration there is no private property the way it is presently used in the third dimension. As long as there is private property, then whoever owns it is considered more successful than those who do not. Divine Administration uses property in a sustainable way.

How do we relate to money? That is pretty simple. I have a very simple answer to that; there should be no money. But, if there is money, how we relate to it is that we are our brother’s keeper. How many pairs of shoes can you own, one hundred pairs or two hundred? How many pants, dresses, skirts, TV’s or refrigerators do you need? How many cars do you think you need? What do you think you need for happiness? How many yachts do you need? What do you really need to consider yourself to be successful?

Examples of Successful People

One of the happiest men I’ve ever met on this planet was a man of color, and he was caretaking the land at a university. Another happy man I met was caretaking the land at a monastery. He had a smile on his face. He was always cheerful. He was always singing, and he always had a good story to tell. He was living there in a little caretaker’s hut in the monastery and he was happy. But the other people in the monastery were not so happy. Even the Abbott was not as happy as the caretaker, because the Abbott got caught up in the old order. The caretaker was as much out of it as he could be. He had learned some lessons in life. So when I had a problem, I knew not to go talk to the Abbott; I went to talk to the gardener. He gave me some good advice. I knew who my elder was around there.

Jesus was the most successful person who ever walked on the planet, though many would think He was unsuccessful because He was crucified on the cross. It was not God’s will that He be crucified on the cross. It was the will of the fallen state of man and woman on this planet that put Him on that cross. He could have used all of His power to get out of that situation. He could have said, “disappear.” He could have done anything— command his persecutors to dance like monkeys—but he didn’t do any of that. He let them do what they wanted to do. Talk about humility! “Father, forgive them for they know not what they do.” He was the most successful example that we can ever have on this planet. He came trying to show the love of God and the brotherhood of man, giving for the sake of others. He asked the apostles to have donations collected to give to the poor, and to help the apostles live and preach the word of God. Being your brother’s keeper is a big responsibility.

There is a look for politicians in the old order, and there is the look for ministers, and there is the look for healers, and the shamans and shamanesses walking around Sedona. Well, you might think that I have a look too, but you who know me realize that I look different all the time. It is not even a physical thing actually; it is the kind of attitude that you project about yourself that is false. That is what I am getting at. It is not really the clothes you wear; it is what is in your heart. I can have this same headband on, same clothes on or a little different, and look somewhat the same physically, but you who get to know me see all kinds of different dimensions coming out of me. Within any ten minutes I can be four or five different people. That’s great; that’s fun, and we all can do that to some degree. Maybe because I have had a lot of lives I can draw on those things, but you can do it in some degree, maybe not like I can, but to some degree you can do it. You can let your hair hang down and do all kinds of things, but society restricts you. The false world restricts you. And so, to be successful a lot of people think they have to make a lot of money.

Fair Distribution of Resources

The collection of physical resources to advance the common good of all the people and to be stewards of the distribution of physical resources is a great responsibility. I don’t have all of the answers of how the Divine Administration is going to be implemented, but I have a few, and I try to share as much as I can based upon the consciousness of people in the third dimension.

One of the problems in relation to money is that it is difficult to find anyone who can be trusted. Out there in the world, if you trust someone, they often let you down; they betray you. One of the problems is you can’t find real spiritual leaders out there who really are concerned about you. We can’t just give handouts. Jesus didn’t do that. He fed the five thousand once, then he realized that many of them came to listen to Him just because they wanted some fish and bread. So He said, “No more fish and bread. If you want to come and listen to me, you come and listen to me for the for the right reasons.” He made many decisions not to perform miracles or to give handouts. There is a way in which we have to implement these divine resources in a different manner. Gandhi said that we have enough natural resources now, right here on the planet (and this was back in the 1950s) that there doesn’t have to be a needy human being on the planet, and that every person on this planet could be doing what God would have them do if it could be equally distributed. And that is the truth. There has to be those in authority who can say, “Well look, I can’t give you a Martin guitar right now, you probably would scratch it, probably break the strings every ten minutes, but I’m going to give you another kind of guitar because this is where you should be right now. We have to have leaders in authority in all fields who could give you what you need for now, for your level of talent and ability. We have to have those kinds of leaders in every field.

You shouldn’t have to struggle all your life to get what you need to follow your dream that God has put in you. It shouldn’t take you until your forties and fifties and sixties to be able to paint the masterpiece, build the bridge, build the building, or implement the program. It shouldn’t take you all of your life, and then, by the time you get it all, you are half dead because it was so hard surviving and trying to get there. It shouldn’t be like that. You should be doing it in your teens or twenties, particularly the starseed. By the time you are twenty-five you can produce your first major movie or you can build your first building. That is the way it should be, but on this planet it doesn’t work quite like that. You should be able to travel to any place on this planet. There shouldn’t be any boundaries. I like the words at the end of the movie, The English Patient where one of the characters says, “I look forward to a world that doesn’t have any maps.” A world without boundaries where we are all brothers and sisters, wouldn’t that be a wonderful place? Won’t it be wonderful when we all have a divine administration, and we all have a common understanding of God and we all understand the higher concepts of God, not the God of the old order, not the God of the old religions, but the cosmic God, the God that is, the God that always was, and always will be. That is the God we have to communicate to one another, because as long as you call God “Allah,” and I call God “Jesus,” as much as we try to be brothers, we will not be because we are going to speak a different language. Those very concepts and that very language of God, even if we speak English and you are a Muslim and I am a Christian, your concepts of God and my concepts of God separate us. That is not what Jesus taught. That is not what the Son of Man taught.

When the founding fathers and mothers came here to this great, great county of America and the New World, their idea at their level was to worship who they thought then to be the cosmic God who was Jesus Christ. All immigrants who came to this county were taught the Christian aspect of God, and to know that you can become Protestant or a Catholic, but you weren’t to become a Buddhist or a Muslim or anything else. This was a Christian country. Now we have Buddhist temples; we have Moslem temples; you name it; we have it. Within those religions there is truth, beauty, and goodness in many millions of people, but people in those religions are also kept back from higher expanded truth by their leaders who would rather keep them in strict traditional religious beliefs. I look forward to the day when a Muslim leader comes up to me and says, “I want to join your movement and become an ally in the Divine Administration.”

This battle between divine pattern and Luciferic pattern has been going on for the last 200,000 years, and many starseed have fought life after life after life to try and change this world, but it hasn’t changed. Many of us have died martyrs, but we continue to give our lives and dedicate everything we have for the common good of all in the system of Satania.
