A Sudden Shift, a Change Point

I and many others witnessed a change point that happened in Future Studios on May 4 and May 5, 2001. The first weekend of May—the 4th, 5th, and 6th—Global Community Communications sponsored a gathering of Native American elders. A well-known and well-traveled Lakota elder, who has been on the traveling and teaching circuit for about forty years, was highlighted throughout the three days. On Friday, May 4, 2001, he was the featured speaker at Future Studios. There were about seventy people (not of Global Community Communications) who came to hear him. Assisting him was a relative who would periodically sing, using his drum. For us who were able to discern, during that evening there was a lot of confusion, a lot of tension. Many of us felt grieved at how we believed the assistant showed his elder a lot of disrespect. The assistant interrupted the elder often, implying that he was rambling. Many of us there believed that this elder had some important things to say and wanted to listen to his wisdom. Many of us also experienced a sense of disunity and tension within the audience. I think that most people there did not want to rock the boat or interfere with how things were done between the elder and his assistant, for they had worked as a team for many years. It was a very painful experience for all of us who felt a love for this elder and were ultra-sensitive to the situation, for this evening seemed awkward, tense, chaotic, and disharmonious.

The next evening, Saturday, May 5, 2001, was a different situation. There are many reasons for the sense of coordination, light-heartedness, order, and harmony that I felt was prevalent in the room. One of the reasons was because there were five people on stage instead of just the two, and the assistant to the Lakota elder who had displayed disrespect, anger, and frustration had chosen not to be present, even though he had been invited to be one of the presenters on stage. (I think he realized that this evening would be different, that he wouldn’t be able to operate out of the self-assertion that had motivated him the previous night.) On stage, to the right of the featured Lakota elder was a Native American couple who are leaders and teachers among many tribes and races, and to his left were Gabriel of Urantia and me, Niánn Emerson Chase. There seemed to be a different essence in the seventy or eighty people present, most of whom had been present the previous night.

I realized that what all of us in Future Studios were experiencing that night was an instant change point, an immediate change from the previous reality, a tremendous improvement and progression. The main reason for this shift, this quantum leap in reality from Friday, May 4 to Saturday, May 5 is because Divine Administration took over on the second night. Authority within Divine Administration stepped in and decreed that disrespect, chaos, and disharmony—the results of lack of proper leadership and coordination—will not happen again. Divine Administration principles were implemented on May 5 that had not been present on May 4.

Often when Native Americans have a forum to speak from in a public situation men are the main presenters. (The Native American woman speaker commented that it is a rare occasion for her to have the opportunity to speak publicly in this manner and to be considered an elder with something of substance to share.) On May 5 on stage was the balance, which one of the male native elders so aptly pointed out. At the center was the featured Lakota teacher with male and female complements on either side of him—the right side composed of the red race from two different tribes, the left side composed of the white race from two different backgrounds—all united at that moment on stage to present their wisdom from their hearts and minds in their own unique and individualistic ways. Gabriel and I represented Divine Administration; the three Native American speakers represented their traditional ways and teachings as well as sharing from their own experiences in this modern world of materialism, mind, and technology.

Gabriel spoke from the Father circuitry in strength and humor. He said many things that usually aren’t said because they’re not politically, socially, or “religiously” correct. He said many things that shocked people. He said many things that made people laugh. He said many things that people agreed with. And he said many things that made people very uncomfortable and squirm in their seats. Yet what he said was truth and needed to be said, and said now. Often I sensed the audience breathe a sigh of relief at some of what Gabriel said. It’s as if they were thinking, “Thank God someone is actually saying these things, things that we have thought and felt but have been afraid to say.”

The “Telling”

We sensitive and observant ones in Future Studios that night on May 5, 2001 experienced a sudden shift, the change point, in that environment. The continuing saga of that shift happened again on Thursday, June 21, at Avalon Gardens when a group of Global Community Communications members and others gathered for World Peace Prayer Day. On this day of the summer solstice, people from all over this strife-torn and troubled world gather to pray for world peace. This has been going on for many years with many groups gathering in a unity of purpose. We of Global Community Communications have been doing this at Avalon Gardens for the last four years, inviting others in the Verde Valley area to physically join us as we unite in mind, heart, and spirit with other groups all over the world. It is believed by some that Lao-Tse started this meditation and prayer for peace thousands of years ago. Throughout the centuries, other spiritual leaders have used the summer solstice as an opportunity to gather people together for celebration of all life.

But at that prayer mound at Avalon Gardens this year Gabriel of Urantia, for the first time, officiated. Usually someone else officiates, and it is a very light experience with a prayer and possibly some music, lasting no longer than half an hour, but this year was different. It’s the change point after all. Before the actual prayer for peace, Gabriel gave a wonderful teaching similar to the one he gave on May 5 in Future Studios. Before his talk Gabriel asked people to speak if they wanted to share something, and many did. It was very obvious to many of us that this was a totally different world prayer for peace situation, that is was a whole other dimension. Some within the circle were relieved that it was different. Later some non-community members shared with me, “I’m so glad Gabriel is saying these things. These are things that I’ve thought and believed but haven’t been able to say. Maybe I wasn’t able to formulate it in my mind or whatever.” I heard people say that or something close to that. Other people in the circle squirmed during Gabriel’s talk; they were uncomfortable, and some got angry. Some of them left the circle, and some remained. That is what is happening with this shift, this change point—strong, Father-circuited words of truth are being spoken, stronger and more often than ever before from Gabriel of Urantia and others within Divine Administration. A “telling” is being given.

That “telling” is the truths presented in epochal revelation. The “telling” comes from words spoken strongly and sternly, or from words spoken gently and humorously. The “telling” comes from words read on paper or on computer screen. The “telling” comes in textures, shapes, and colors in visual art; in movement through dance; in melody and messages played and sung in music; in drama put forth on stage; and in moment-to-moment daily living and being. The “telling” comes through Divine Administration and often shakes people out of their meticulously manicured comfort zones. The “telling” brings light into the carefully closeted dark places of people’s minds and hearts. The “telling” causes people to feel and think things that they may not want to feel and think because with those feelings and thoughts comes a drive and a sense of responsibility to act in ways they’ve never acted before (or haven’t since their stint on a higher world of planetary evolution and progress).

On April 1, 2001, Celestial Overcontrol informed the members of Global Community Communications that Gabriel of Urantia had shifted from a level five audio fusion material complement to a level six audio fusion material complement on March 1, 2001. We who work closely with him noticed almost immediately when he made the shift in levels of audio fusion, for it seems as if he personally has made a quantum leap in the quickness of his discernment, decision-making, and actions. He was already fast-moving and efficient, but it seems to some of us that his productivity and depth has doubled to almost superhuman level. His perceptions are even more expansive than before, and the surety of his soul age and mandate is more pronounced within him and within some of us. The possibilities for enhanced and accelerated personality unfoldment and soul growth for us willing ones in Divine Administration are even more present since May 5, 2001. For us, the change point is a continuing saga and is happening on many levels of reality.

Change Point Prophecies and Expectations

Many people in this community as well as outside of the community have had expectations of what the change point would be, for there have been many prophecies and conjectures. The definition of change point in the glossary of The Cosmic Family, Volume I, which was published in 1993, is,

The instant of time in which Urantia (Earth) moves from the third to the fourth dimension completely; approximately in May of 2000 or 2001 is a possibility. As of 1992, only the one-mile to five-mile radius of Planetary Headquarters reflects a beginning fourth-dimensional reality, to some degree. After the change point, only those personalities who have also manifested fourth-dimensional bodies and consciousness will be able to return to and remain on Urantia. [All underlining mine.] (Ibid., 245)

In Paper C of The Cosmic Family, Volume I, Paladin states:

Because of certain earth changes that we of celestial overcontrol believe will take place around May of 2000 or 2001, it is of immediate urgency that all those who can hear what the Spirit of God is saying to the seed of light respond to the Fifth Epochal Revelation, which is The URANTIA Book in print and that which is continuing to come through the mandated audio fusion material complement, Gabriel of Urantia. (Ibid., 26)

That was the message that Gabriel gave to all of the people in the prayer circle on June 21, 2001. People in the various religions must all come into a unity and embrace the Fifth Epochal Revelation and continuing, building upon the foundations of the wonderful truths of their specific spiritual path. World peace can be attained through the spiritual unity of the worldwide acceptance and implementation of the epochal revelation that has been given for all of the people on this planet. People must move beyond Christianity, beyond Judaism, beyond Hinduism, beyond Buddhism, beyond Mohamedism, beyond Native American spirituality, and beyond New Ageism to having a commonality in understanding the spiritual truths in the Fifth Epochal Revelation (FER) found in The URANTIA Book and Continuing Fifth Epochal Revelation (CFER) found in The Cosmic Family volumes. There can be no peace without that commonality that can come about through Divine Administration.

The “Statement of Purpose” in Volume I of The Cosmic Family says:

The purpose of this book is to introduce new cosmic concepts in words that will be part of one planetary language in the understanding of spiritual reality in which our planet, Urantia/Earth, will be operating when the change point and shift from the third dimension to fourth dimension and above, occurs, and a new divine administration of Christ Michael (Jesus) is appropriated either by his physical return or the physical materialization of the present Planetary Prince, Machiventa Melchizedek, and his staff, presently on the planet. We [Celestial Overcontrol] believe that cataclysms will precede either event. Perhaps an auhter energy shift will also occur if these two events do not transpire in May of 2000 or 2001 AD. [Underlining mine.] A lower term for this consciousness shift of change point is quantum leap. It is not a government of arms or military power. We do not teach rule by force of arms, nor do we stock weapons of any kind. We teach only the fatherhood of God and the brother-/sisterhood of men/women; we teach love. (Ibid. xvii)

What we here in Divine Administration have been discovering over the years is that the concept “change point” has many layers and levels of meaning. Yes, it will be a sudden change from chaos and confusion to order and clarity, as we experienced in Future Studios on May 4 and May 5 of this year. We human beings think “sudden” and “quick” means happening almost instantly or overnight, but celestial personalities may see “suddenly” or “quickly” or “soon” as occurring over a period of years or even decades rather than hundreds or thousands or hundreds of thousands of years. We humans want the change point to happen in a day. Celestial Overcontrol has a whole different perspective of time. For example, on page 2,082 of The URANTIA Book, we are told that “Urantia is now quivering on the brink of one of its most amazing and enthralling epics of social readjustment, moral quickening, and spiritual enlightenment.” From our understanding, that statement was brought through in the 1930s. Sixty-five years later, we’re still “quivering,” for the social readjustment, moral quickening, and spiritual enlightenment on a global scale has not yet happened. Sixty-five years to us humans seems to be a very long time to quiver on the brink of a quantum leap. On a global level, the change point consciousness-wise has not happened, and from our perspective, we may be disappointed just as Jesus’ apostles and disciples were often disappointed in outcomes that did not fit their perceptions, timetables, and expectations.It is with statements from celestial revelators like the ones I just shared with you from the Continuing Fifth Epochal Revelation (CFER) and The URANTIA Book that have many people like Jesus’ apostles and disciples of His time anticipate great changes in consciousness among the masses within a certain day, almost overnight.

On September 14, 1992, Paladin brought through Paper 257 (The Cosmic Family, Volume II) through the level zero audio fusion material complement, Gabriel of Urantia. Paladin states that those ovan souls who align with Divine Administration will begin to function with higher mindal abilities because of the opening up of circuitry and an upstepping of brain functioning. Many of us in Divine Administration are experiencing that. Even when we get really disappointed with ourselves, if we’re really realistic in our assessment, we know that there has been an upstepping within us in our mindal abilities as well as an opening up of our circuitry, and our hearts are opening up more and more, enabling us to love and serve more readily and deeply. But Paladin goes on to state that,

The opening up of the circuits on Urantia is a gradual process on into the second and third stages of light and life for certain personalities. It will not happen all at once. This is based upon an individual’s ability to align with the purposes of God on Urantia, which are the purposes of the Machiventa government and the administration and functioning of it. . . . The Divine Administration of Urantia will be established gradually. Even after the change point it will continue to be a gradual opening up of circuits for individuals and a gradual coming into the first stage of light and life and above. [Underlining mine.]

I do believe there was some sort of change point that happened and is still happening on a huge level, not just on the material level, but on the spiritual and morontia level. We saw the manifestation of that in Future Studios on May 5, 2001, but that manifestation globally will be more gradual. I think that from a celestial perspective the change point on a global level is “overnight,” “suddenly,” but within our time frame and level of understanding, it may seem like forever rather than suddenly.

In order for the change point to manifest globally on a human level the way it did in Future Studios on May 5 of this year, individuals have to go through their own personal change points. I highly recommend that you read a teaching that Gabriel and I gave on November 3, 1996 in the book, Global Change Teachings for the New Millennium, Series One. That particular teaching is called “The Change Points of our Lives.” In that same book in another teaching entitled “Answers to Planetary Concerns” (given on April 27, 1997), Gabriel of Urantia said,

Part of our work here at the First Planetary Sacred Home is to try to bring this higher revelation, Fifth Epochal Revelation and continuing, to the world so that we can make this change point happen as quickly as possible. The longer it takes to happen, the more tribulation, pain and suffering will occur. (Ibid., 144)

Adaptations and Adjustments Within Divine Administration

The URANTIA Book indicates that the implementation of divine administration throughout the universes of time and space is based upon free-will choice. What that means is that though there may be a plan or a projection within divine pattern and administration, often those plans have to be changed or adapted because of decisions made by certain personalities that change the playing field. These adaptations and changes within divine pattern happen on the microscopic as well as the macroscopic and cosmic levels. They happen on the three levels of reality—physical, mindal, and spiritual; (the emotions are on all three levels, for there are levels of emotions too). Within divine pattern organisms are able to adapt their functions to a varying or changing environment. Within divine administration principles, Celestial Overcontrol adapts decisions and recommendations to the real needs and actual status of the persons and worlds under consideration. In progressive cultures that are in a constant motion forward, those in leadership adapt laws and procedures to the changing conditions of society. Throughout our ascension process as human beings, there are various ministering personalities available to help us adjust to the new environments that we progress to. At this moment in time and space, we humans have our Thought Adjusters (the Spirit of the Universal Father within us) aiding us (if we cooperate) to adapt, modify, and substitute in accordance with circumstances, and the living spiritual forces and personalities constantly have to adjust and adapt when working with us humans. On page 737 of The URANTIA Book we are told,

There is original endowment of adaptation in living things and beings. In every living plant or animal cell, in every living organism—material or spiritual—there is an insatiable craving for the attainment of ever-increasing perfection of environmental adjustment, organismal adaptation, and augmented life realization. These interminable efforts of all living things evidence the existence within them of an innate striving for perfection.

We know from Continuing Fifth Epochal Revelation (CFER) that it is the hope of the celestial beings who are involved in affairs on Urantia (Earth) that the change point could come more gently than what has been predicted for thousands of years by seers and prophets of many cultures and religions. Unfortunately, the tribulations and earth changes do seem to be coming to a head, and, unfortunately, the media for the masses has downplayed the seriousness of the state of our planet. As a result, most people are still sleeping.

Back to us here though in Divine Administration. A change point has indeed happened here within this reality. Gabriel of Urantia is now a level six audio fusion material complement, and with this level comes a tremendous intensity and pressure for all of us here to upstep our own growth and healing. Personally, I have experienced a change point since May 5. A shift has happened within me, and I have been able to relinquish some things to God that I had been hanging on to. I know that I need to make more shifts, that I need more personal change points, and I look forward to them. I also look forward to those continued change points within Divine Administration as well as within the minds and hearts of individuals globally.

In April 1988, Celestial Overcontrol presented “The Seven Stages of Divine New Order Alignment” for the community of Aquarian Concepts, for Divine Administration. These were goals for the future, and in 1993 it was clarified that these stages were meant to happen before the change point. In 1988, Paladin stated, “It should be understood that these stages will constantly change in some areas.” Since 1988, there have been nine adaptations to these seven stages of alignment, indicating that as free-will choices are made by individuals, situations shift and thus those celestials and humans in Divine Administration must make adaptations and adjustments, still focusing on carrying out the original mission of cooperating with Celestial Overcontrol in bringing about the adjudication, disseminating the teachings and principles of The URANTIA Book and Continuing Fifth Epochal Revelation (CFER) to the world, and implementing the Divine Administration of Machiventa Melchizedek on a human level by creating a fourth-dimensional model of divine administration principles being applied in how we in the intentional global change community live.

Throughout The URANTIA Book are references to adaptations and changes that are continually being made on all levels of universe administration, and that is what we humans involved in Divine Administration experience daily. On page 1580 of The URANTIA Book we’re told that Jesus did show us humans “the best way of living, and no generation is exempt from the labor of discovering how to best adapt Jesus’ life to its own problems.” (Underlining mine.) Each of us individuals personally has a God-given destiny to labor at discovering Jesus—how He lived His life and what He taught—and then applying what we discover to our own daily lives moment-to-moment in every area.

The Continuing Saga

So what was really supposed to happen in May of 2001? What did happen that we are not even aware of?

At this time we of Global Community Communications are manifesting the fourth stage of Divine New Order alignment and have been on that stage for several years. There are three stages left that we need to get to as a community, but obtaining the fifth stage of alignment is dependent upon a tremendous shift in the consciousness of large numbers of people, masses of people. It’s a great spiritual renaissance that’s needed. It’s that one The URANTIA Book says that we’ve been quivering on the brink of for about sixty-five years. Meanwhile, we need to focus on what God puts before us each day and live fully that day striving to be in God’s perfect will, moment to moment. Let us develop the farsightedness of Celestial Overcontrol and relinquish unrealistic expectations of “soon,” “suddenly,” and “quivering on the brink of.” After all, the change point is in the process of happening right now, moment to moment.

I’ll close with something that I shared on the prayer mound on June 21. Destin, a seraphim, once said that within his functions and responsibilities within Divine Administration, “Sometimes I am very big and powerful, and sometimes I am very small, yet powerful. Sometimes I am almost invisible, yet powerful.” My prayer for each of us here in Divine Administration and for all other God-serving persons is that we can continue to walk moment to moment in our power in God and grow in that beautiful power with love going before us.
